Grants are awarded annually. The deadline for submission of applications is July 15th. All applicants will be notified by August 31st. Grants are funded by September 30th. The grant process will begin upon the close of the grant cycle. The following criteria will be used in confirming that grant requests match the goals of the Tim and Tina Family Foundation goals.
Clarity of Purpose – the request should be clearly defined with a specific description of how goals/tasks will be achieved and how funds will be spent.
Potential for Success – the organization must demonstrate that they have funding sources, manpower, and community support as well as the time to achieve their goals. Projects must be realistic.
Leadership – stability in the organization is a requirement, as well as a well-deserved reputation for results.
Site Visits – While not always possible, site visits by board members prior to gifting, during gifting or following may be considered.
Grants typically range between $5,000 - $20,000. In some cases, we may make larger grants, but that is typically after we have gotten to know your organization over a period of time. We do not make multi-year grants.
The foundation does not make grants to individuals, international charitable organizations that are not qualified in the United States or to For-Profit Businesses. Please note, that program related investments are not currently made.
